Business Development Manager

We are seeking to employ a Business Development Manager for our Hoarding Division in Sydney that has a sales and/or hire background and is experienced working in the commercial construction space.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Servicing current “core business” trade accounts that will be allocated in consultation with the Manager.
• Seeking out new customers and business opportunities through effective sales techniques
• Market our complete range of products and services to new and existing customers
• Minimise revenue erosion from our core business customer base
• Form and maintain relationships between 1300Hoarding/1300TempFence and assigned accounts
• Recognise and seek out further revenue opportunities within our existing accounts
• Achieve benchmark numbers for calls per week. Minimum 30 calls
• Analyse current market trends and identify potential new target markets
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Achieve benchmark revenue goals set for assigned customers and areas

To be successful for this role you must have the following:

• Experience in the same or similar position with project management (desirable)
• Hire / Sales / Construction Experience is essential
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with a “can do attitude”
• A pleasant and clear phone manner with a professional demeanour
• Be well presented with great communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to cross sell and upsell existing products
• Motivated and able to work within a team and autonomously when required
• Ability to build strong relationships

To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills:

• White Card (essential)
• A reliable, punctual and hardworking nature
• Ability to work effectively without supervision
• High level of attentional to detail
• A willingness to learn and develop your skillset
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Provide excellent customer service
• Good problem-solving skills
• Availability to work out of hours as night works will be regular (essential)
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• Basic carpentry/handyman skills (desirable)
• Own tools, cordless drills, saws etc
• Forklift Licence (essential or willing to obtain)
• EWP licence (essential or willing to obtain)
• A Tray Truck (desirable but not essential) 4.5t preferred
• Truck Licence (MR or higher)

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Picking up and dropping off stock from the warehouse to various sites around Melbourne/Geelong
• Liaising with facilities management and security
• Installing temporary hoardings
• Reporting all issues regarding damage, equipment or other aspects that affect the business
